The British Juggling Convention is the largest event of its type in the UK. It is an annual gathering of jugglers from across the UK and farther afield to share skills, network, socialise and watch performances. The UK juggling and circus community is loving, welcoming, and without compare and that's why it's still going after all these years. So whether it's your 30th BJC or your first, you'll be sure to find a like-minded community to share your throwing, catching, twisting, spinning, swinging, balancing, and performing with.

The BJC is an annual event organised by members of the UK juggling and circus community. There is no continuous company or body which runs and organises the event, instead, everyone from the community is welcome to bid to run a future BJC at the Business Meeting which takes place during the event. In 2026 the BJC is being run by Andrew and Lucie as Blue Mouse Events CIC.

The venue opens at 5pm on Friday the 3rd of April. Please do not arrive on site before this time.

Everyone must be off site by 2pm on Thursday the 9th of April to enable the crew to finish clearing the site. Please ensure you leave your camping area as you found it (or tidier!) and take all your belongings with you.

Yes, tickets are all available on the door. We will not hit capacity so don't worry about being turned away.

There are a couple of options for you:
We will be having an Open Stage performance (acts will be organised during the event when people will be able to sign up to perform).
We also have the Renegade! Stage, where anyone (18+) is welcome to show us their new act, their old act, their work-in-progress, their favourite trick or their non-juggly skills. Almost anything goes (so long as it’s good/entertaining/fun or all of the above)
If you’re under 21, you can take part in the British Young Juggler of the Year (for more information on this, please see the shows section of the website).

Unfortunately not. As the venue is a school we have to stick to their rules regarding animals. Only assistance dogs are permitted on site.

Yes, if you purchase a car parking ticket. Car parking space is limited so we encourage you to car share or use public transport where possible.

No; cars must be parked in designated car parking spaces/areas and cannot be parked next to tents for safety reasons. This year, cars will all be parked on hard-standing.

Space for vehicles is limited on site. To encourage car sharing/alternative transport a fee is charged for cars. Live-in vehicle space is also limited, and demand for spaces increases every year. Please note, if you are bringing a caravan and wish to keep your car on site you will need a car and a live-in vehicle pass and the car will need to be parked in one of the carparks, not the live-in vehicle area.

We are still finalising this, but plan on having on-site catering. We encourage you to use the catering provided but you are welcome to bring food onto site from the outside world.

BJC will be accepting card and cash payments at registration and the bar. The traders will have their own arrangements. We advise you bring along some cash however there is an ATM at the local Sainsburys (3 minute walk from the venue).

Camping is all unallocated (there are no specific pitches) and we have lots of room. There are no restrictions on the size of your tent but we ask that you pitch considerately. Pitching event shelters/gazebos is okay (please ensure they are properly secured) but bringing your own big top/marquee is not.

Refunds are only available under exceptional circumstances, at the organisers discretion, and will be subject to a £10 admin fee.

BJC 2026 tickets are non-transferrable.

Unfortunately not as the school does not have the infrastructure for hookup or chemical waste disposal.

All of our workshops will operate on a "first-come, first-served" basis so there's no need to book.

Full week tickets: camping is included.
Day tickets: one night of camping is included.
Half day tickets: can be used to cover a night of camping, or to attend the event during the day without camping. See the ticket page for more information.

There are no allocated pitches, but attendees must keep the marked fire lanes clear.

There is no publicly accessible wifi onsite.

YES! We will have limited provision for fire spinning and juggling on site. Always remember to put safety first whenever using fire props. Please note uncovered fire props will not be permitted inside any buildings on site (even when they're not lit!)

Yes. There will be a glow space in the evenings.

We will try our hardest to make sure the event happens. However, if it looks like it will not be safe to run the event, or there are any restrictions outside of our control that will make BJC non-viable, then we may have to postpone or cancel. We, like all other events, will be following the guidance provided and will take great care to consider your safety, your fun, and the event's compliance as best we can.

If we (Blue Mouse Events CIC) postpone the event, your ticket can be transferred at no cost to you. Alternatively your ticket (minus a £10 admin fee) can be refunded. If we (Blue Mouse Events CIC) have to cancel the event, all tickets will be refunded, minus £10.

Unfortunately, we would be unable to offer refunds in full, as we are only a very tiny festival and there are upfront costs that will need to be covered. If there is any surplus after refunds and covering costs, this would be passed on to future BJCs.

Student Groups: We offer a society discount for groups of 8 or more students.

Youth/Teen Groups: We offer free entry for a limited number of responsible adults when attending with an organised Youth or Teen group. Youth and Teen tickets booked in this way will be be discounted.

You will need to register as a group and arrive together at the event to collect your passes. Contact us for more information or to book. Group discounts are not available on the door.

Definitely. BJC is suitable for all ages. Fiery Jack Entertainment will be making sure there are a whole host of activities for children to take part in every day.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult. If you are planning to supervise more than four children please see the Ts&Cs for adult-child ratios.

Smoking is permitted on site as long as you are outside. Smoking inside any building is prohibited and will result in you being removed from the event.

Yes, camping stoves are permitted however open fires are not. Cooking equipment must be used outside and heat sources must be raised up from the ground.

The closest pharmacy is either Allied Pharmacy or Kingsfold Pharmacy (both a 5 minute drive) but please remember that the event is running over the Easter weekend, so opening times may be limited during these days.
